February 14, 2025 - Broken Ground School (BGS) hosted a successful "Breakfast & Books" event for students and their families. This Title I family engagement activity, spearheaded by BGS’ AMAZING Reading Specialist, Jane Dodson, with the support of all Title I tutors, provided a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with the school community while fostering a love of reading.
Students and families enjoyed a light breakfast together while exploring a variety of books and connecting with friends. The event aimed to encourage literacy and family involvement in education in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
“We are thrilled with the turnout and the positive feedback from our families,” said Jane Dodson. Mr. Repucci, BGS Principal, stated, “Events like ‘Breakfast & Books’ are crucial for building strong home-school connections and supporting our students’ academic success.”
