Principal's Message

Dear Broken Ground School Parents and Guardians,

What an amazing start to the school year! The halls of Broken Ground School have been filled with warm smiles, kind words, and thoughtful actions. It’s been a joy to see students settling in, building connections, and embracing the spirit of our school community.

At Broken Ground School, we believe that a safe and respectful environment helps every child thrive. Our school rules are built around four core expectations:

  • Be a Responsible Learner
  • Respect Others
  • Act in a Safe and Healthy Way
  • Respect Property

These guidelines help students make thoughtful choices, care for themselves and others, and take pride in their learning and surroundings. We teach and reinforce these expectations daily to support a positive school culture where all students feel valued and ready to succeed.

Thank you for your continued partnership. We look forward to a year filled with growth, learning, and shared success!

Respectfully,

Kyle Repucci
Principal

Traffic Safety Update

As we move toward the fall season, we want to thank our families for their continued patience and cooperation during morning drop-off. The busiest traffic flow occurs between 7:25 and 7:40 AM, so please plan accordingly to ensure a smooth and safe arrival.

Our schools are located on South Curtisville Road, a two-lane road with limited space. To maintain safety and efficiency:

  • Remain in your designated lane at all times.
  • Do not pass other vehicles on South Curtisville Road.
  • Wait until you reach the school entrance before turning into the drop-off lanes or parking lot.

I’m also pleased to share that Mrs. Scarpati, Principal of Mill Brook School, Mr. Cashman, Director of Facilities, and I will be attending the City’s Traffic Operations Committee meeting this month. Together, we will review our current traffic pattern and related concerns, and collaborate with city officials to explore enhanced safety and efficiency measures that could be integrated into our schools’ traffic operations.

If you have any specific suggestions, please feel free to email me directly at krepucci@sau8.org

Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and our mornings running smoothly!
