Fourth Graders Explore New Hampshire’s Government in Action

On Tuesday, our fourth-grade classes took an exciting trip to Concord to visit the New Hampshire State House and the NH Supreme Court. This hands-on experience brought their social studies curriculum to life as students learned about the three branches of government—legislative, executive, and judicial.
At the State House, students toured the historic building, saw where laws are made, and learned about the role of elected officials. Later, at the Supreme Court, they gained insight into how judges interpret laws and ensure justice. The trip offered a unique opportunity for students to connect classroom lessons with real-world government in action.
This memorable day sparked curiosity and deepened understanding of civic responsibility—an important step in preparing our students to be informed citizens.
