Welcome to the 2022-2023 BGS PTA webpage!

Broken Ground School PTA is a member of National PTA- a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit association that prides itself on being a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for public education.

What does the BGS PTA do? The PTA provides fundraising opportunities that benefit all students at Broken Ground school. Funds raised support field trips and other school events. PTA members and volunteers provide their time to support activities such as the book fair, popcorn Fridays and Harvest Fest. Without PTA volunteers, and the support of BGS staff, these activities would not be possible.

Who can be a part of the PTA?

All parents/guardians/adults supporting BGS students be a part of the PTA. The BGS PTA is currently looking for board members and volunteers!

How can I help the BGS PTA?

Volunteer! Whether you can drop in for a meeting or give an hour volunteering at an event, every little bit helps the students and staff at BGS. If you are interested, have questions or suggestions please attend a meeting or email the board at BrokenGroundPTA@gmail.com .

When does the BGS PTA meet?

The first Tuesday of each month from 7:00 – 8:00 pm in the Library/Media Center at Broken Ground School.

Please join us for a meeting to learn all the different ways YOU can give help the PTA support the students and staff at BGS. Communities thrive when we all work together!

BGS PTA

The PTA raises money through generous donations from families, the community, and fundraisers held throughout the school year. Fundraisers include Scholastic book fair, Harvest Fest, popcorn Fridays, Amazon smile (coming soon) and the Eco Bin clothing, shoe, and linens recycling bin (in the school parking lot).

Upcoming Events:

  • Picture day: September 16th
  • Scholastic Book fair: September 17th-23rd 8am-10am (pending volunteers) and September 22nd 5pm-7pm

  • Back to school night: September 22nd 5:30pm-7pm

  • PTA meeting: October 4th 7pm-8pm

  • Harvest Fest: October 12th 4pm-6:30pm (rain date October 13th)
