Mrs. Moore

I am one of three special education teachers at Broken Ground School.  I have been at BGS since the start of my career in education in 2008, and love the community of staff, students and families that surround me each day.  Broken Ground School embraces diversity and encourages all community members to learn from one another, which mirrors my teaching philosophy.

I graduated from Keene State College in 2008 with Bachelor’s Degrees in Elementary Education and Sociology and teaching certifications in the areas of Elementary Education and Special Education.  Since I began teaching I have grown to love thinking about our school and district from a variety of perspectives which lead me enroll in a master’s level program at Plymouth State University with a focus on Leadership.  In May 2015, I graduated from PSU with a Master’s degree in Special Education and certification in Special Education Administration.

In my classroom you will find various work spaces for students to build upon their current knowledge and build stronger connections and deeper understanding.  I believe it is important to meet every learner where they’re at, and create learning opportunities that highlight each student’s strengths and interests.   Incorporating traditional teaching methods, technology, visuals, and regular opportunities for students to practice their learning in a kinesthetic way my goal is to make learning engaging and fun.

I look forward to teaching and learning from every student that crosses my path and hope that you will email, call or visit my class sometime soon!
